Christoph Eschenbach, who served as Houston Symphony music director from 1988 to 1999, returns to the orchestra’s podium this weekend to conduct an all-Bruckner concert featuring the composer’s monumental Symphony 1 in C minor and the blazing Te Deum in C major. The Houston Symphony Chorus, soprano Lindsay Russell, mezzo-soprano Zoie Reams, tenor Jack Swanson, and bass-baritone Kyle Albertson join with the orchestra for the concert.

The program will be performed 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Jones Hall. houstonsymphony.org713-224-7575.
