Colombian composer Victor Agudelo moves into the spotlight at Bass Performance Hall this weekend when the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and music director Miguel Harth-Bedoya present the premiere of the orchestral version of Agudelo’s La Madre de Agua. Inspired by the Colombian legend of the tragic “Mother Water,” the new work will open a concert also featuring Dvorak’s Cello Concerto with soloist Johannes Moser and Saint-Saëns’ “Organ” Symphony. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday. fwsymphony.org; 817-665-6000.
